Job Description

Job Summary:

Lazuli Pamir Consulting Engineering Services Co. is seeking qualified Environmental and Social Safeguards Specialists to ensure compliance with environmental sustainability and social safeguard standards. The selected candidates will play a key role in assessing, mitigating, and managing environmental and social risks in projects and programs.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct environmental and social impact assessments to identify potential risks and mitigation measures.
• Ensure project compliance with national and international environmental and social safeguard policies.
• Develop and implement Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMPs).
• Provide technical guidance on risk-informed programming and sustainability practices.
• Engage with stakeholders, including communities, government agencies, and partners, to promote environmental and social safeguards.
• Monitor and evaluate safeguard performance and prepare reports.
• Conduct training sessions and capacity-building programs for project teams on environmental and social safeguard principles.
  
  

Qualifications And Experience

• Education:
• Advanced degree (Master’s or higher) in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Social Science, or a related field.
• Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years of relevant experience will also be considered.
• Experience:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental sustainability, social safeguards assessment, and risk-informed programming.
• Experience working with international donors, NGOs, or government agencies is preferred.
• Skills & Competencies:
• Strong knowledge of environmental and social safeguard frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in relevant environmental assessment tools and methodologies.
• Fluency in English.
