We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Manager to join our team and lead the comprehensive definition and management of our customer-facing API infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a deep focus on API development and management.

Responsibilities:

• Define API methods and technical considerations.
• Stay ahead of industry trends in API development.
• Manage both outbound and inbound API requests.
• Collaborate closely with customers to understand their needs and ensure seamless API integration.
• Scale API infrastructure to meet growing demands.
• Develop and maintain the API roadmap.
• Work closely with developers, architects, and technical writers to ensure cohesive API development and documentation.
  
  

• Oversee the API integration process.
• Serve as a member of the committee composed of architects and other development team members, representing the product side of how Varonis wants to build its API infrastructure.
• Define API capabilities and standards.
• Ensure all API development adheres to established standards.
• Determine the technology stack and documentation practices.
• Provide a clear API roadmap and guide the team on implementation.
• Handle outbound requests from customers seeking API integration, including interviewing customers to understand their needs.
• Focus primarily on API development and management.
• Collaborate with various teams, providing consultation and guidance without being assigned to a specific team.
• Participate as a member of the inbound team.
  
  

• At least 4 years of experience as a Product Manager.
• Strong technical background.
• Proven experience managing customer-facing APIs with a focus on usability and adoption.
• At least 3 years of experience in API definition and management.
• Ability to work closely with developers, architects, and technical writers.
• Experience in API governance, security, and developer experience.
• Advantage: Experience with SIEM integrations and security analytics platforms.
• Advantage: Familiarity with GraphQL (GQL) for API definition and specification.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
