Java Backend Developer – Big Data & Streaming (Security clearance will be required)

Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Java Backend Developer to join our data engineering team. You will work on high-scale data governance and ETL systems, as well as develop real-time data streaming pipelines using modern big data technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop large-scale data governance and ETL systems
- Build and maintain real-time data streaming processes
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in Java (server-side) development – Must
- Strong knowledge of big data architectures and tools, including Kafka, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, MongoDB, Kubernetes, Docker – Must
- Hands-on experience with Apache Flink – Must
- Familiarity with Spring framework – Strong Advantage
- Experience with Python and/or Bash – Advantage
- Strong sense of ownership, independence, and accountability – Must
- Excellent team player with a “get things done” mindset
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments – Advantage
