Security Researcher

About the Job

We’re looking for a Security Researcher to join our core research team. This role is for someone who loves breaking apart complex systems, uncovering edge-case risks, and mapping out how things work under the hood. You’ll dive deep into modern cloud, SaaS, and identity platforms, exploring how access works, identifying abnormal patterns, and helping shape new ways of thinking about security.

What You’ll Do

• Research environments like AWS, Azure, and GCP to identify risky configurations and permission gaps.
• Investigate SaaS and IDP platforms to understand their potential security pitfalls.
• Analyze real-world data to uncover abnormal behaviors
• Work closely with product and engineering teams to turn your research into features, detections, or insights.
• Contribute research that influences internal strategy and helps solve hard security problems.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on security research, cloud security, or identity systems.
• Knowledge and experience researching cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience investigating SaaS platforms and IDPs, including permission models, scopes, and role structures.
• Proficiency in Python or C++ for building tools, analyzing data, or experimenting with new ideas.
• Strong data skills — able to work with SQL or similar language to explore and validate research hypotheses.
• Ability to break down complex technical concepts and communicate them clearly and effectively.
