A well-established startup in the augmented reality field develops optical components that enable AR content display in smart glasses, used by pilots, surgeons in operating rooms, and more. The company holds over 80 patents.

The role involves joining the optical design department, conducting physics research, building complex waveguide models, developing new simulation tools, planning and executing experiments, and optimizing AR waveguides.

The company is based in Nes Ziona, near a train line, and offers the option to work one to two days from home.

About the role-

• Physical research and modeling of complex waveguide structures
• Construct novel simulation tools to study, analyze and optimize complex waveguide structures.
• Design and carry out experiments to validate simulation tools.
• Design and optimize augmented reality waveguides, in a highly interdisciplinary environment

Requirements-

• Excellent analytic skills
• Experienced in modeling of physical systems.
• Strong background in optics and electro-optics
• Strong background in computation methods and simulation tools
• Proficient in Matlab, experienced in programming.
• Team player, good interpersonal communication skills
• Ph.D. in Physics / Electrical Engineering specializing in optics
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
• Self-motivated and eager to take responsibility and deliver results.
• Works well under pressure
• Fluent English
