Monto is a fast-growing startup pioneering the future of B2B payments by creating smart connections between accounting systems and payment platforms, enabling the first touchless getting-paid process. Our mission is to crack the B2B payments world with innovation and AI, where suppliers and buyers work hard to get a single invoice paid.
We are seeking a motivated and experienced professional to join Monto as the Data Operations Team Lead. In this role, you will manage a team of approximately 10 employees, oversee day-to-day operational tasks, and maintain seamless communication with another department. This position offers an exciting opportunity to drive operational excellence, optimize workflows, and enhance customer satisfaction in a dynamic environment.
The role is full-time, involving flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities:
Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of approximately 10 operations analysts.
- Train new employees.
- Responsible for managing the weekly tasks and weekly KPIs.
- Cultivate a constructive and teamwork-oriented culture, ensuring team members are inspired and aligned with the overarching goals of the company.
- Employee development- Create a personnel program for every employee.
- Operations Tasks:
- Oversee and coordinate day-to-day operational tasks, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all processes.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize operational workflows.
- A leading professional figure - hands-on management role.
Performance Monitoring:
- Set performance targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the operations team.
- Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing constructive feedback and implementing improvement plans as needed.
- Work according to Monto’s OKRs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments, such as R&D and Product, to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of cross-functional initiatives to improve overall company performance.
Availability:
- Work at least once a month as a “Shift manager” (weekend).
- Will be available for students’ questions.
- Oversee all operation processes during the weekend.
- Work on holidays as a “Shift manager”.
- Evening shifts - Once a week.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience managing teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in management, preferably within the fintech or financial industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
- High-level English.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to optimize processes.
