Advanced Biotherapy Center – Cell and Gene Therapy Manufacturing

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to manufacture experimental cell and gene therapies for patients in clinical trials. Cell culture experience from a research, biotech, or pharma laboratory is required.

The Advanced Biotherapy Center (ABC) at Sheba Medical Center is a new, state-of-the art laboratory for developing and manufacturing new cell and gene therapies for patients with serious diseases. Specific tasks include isolation and culture of primary hematopoietic cells under cGMP guidelines, molecular biology, and flow cytometry. This work may lead to publications in scientific journals and will support clinical trials for treatment of patients with cancer and other types of disease.

The job holder will report to the Laboratory Director, Dr. Jonathan Esensten.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

Cell culture in cGMP cleanroom laboratory

Following standard operating procedures exactly

Clear and complete documentation (good handwriting)

Additional tasks as assigned in cell therapy development and manufacturing activities

Willing to work in shifts as requested, 07:00-15:30 or 15:00-23:30

Willing to work on weekends and holidays, as requested

Qualifications: 

BSc/MSc degree in biological sciences or chemistry or relevant experience in pharma or medical device companies 

Required experience/knowledge: 

At least 1 year of hands-on experience doing cell culture under aseptic conditions

Meticulous attention to details and accuracy 

Organized and responsible 

Teamwork skills 

Reading and writing skills in Hebrew and English
