C++ Software Engineer

A young cybersecurity startup developing a platform in the Inside Risk domain provides protective coverage in cases of document theft, data and IP theft, sabotage, and other incidents—whether intentional or accidental within a company.

The system offers broad protection for B2B organizations (the product is mainly aimed at CISOs in large companies), allowing them to safeguard systems from internal damages that can occur within the organization.

The company is currently in the installation phase with clients, facing many challenges, offering significant influence, and providing an excellent opportunity to join a startup at an early stage and be among the first in development.

Located in Tel Aviv, near a light rail station, and have completed a significant Seed round. The company currently has a team of 10 people.

The role is part of a team, writing in Rust (experience in the language is not a requirement). The team develops an agent that runs on Windows, with minimal involvement in Mac development.

Core Responsibilities:

• Build robust, scalable data pipelines for security event processing
• Optimize performance of large-scale PySpark operations
• Implement advanced data solutions using Databricks and cloud-native technologies
• Research and prototype new data processing methodologies
• Provide technical guidance and best practices for data engineering initiatives

Requirements:

• Experience with security-focused data solutions
• Deep expertise with Splunk and AWS services (S3, SQS, SNS, Stream)
• Advanced understanding of distributed systems
• Strong Linux systems knowledge
• Experience with real-time data processing architectures
• 5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience in cloud-based SaaS environments
• Deep expertise in PySpark, Python, and SQL optimization
• Advanced knowledge of AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud architectures
• Proven track record implementing production-scale data systems
• Extensive experience with distributed computing and big data processing
