Backend Team Lead

One of our clients, an innovative startup in the architecture technology sector, is looking for a Backend Team Lead to manage a team of developers and oversee the design and development of their backend infrastructure. The company has developed the first-ever Architectural AI platform, enabling rapid space planning, visualization, and optimization. Their groundbreaking solution eliminates the inefficiencies and high costs of traditional architectural planning and is already trusted by global industry leaders. Backed by top-tier venture capital firms, the company has planned over 400 million square feet in less than two years and is growing rapidly.

Role Overview

As a Backend Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of backend developers, ensuring the development of scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend systems. You will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions. This role requires a combination of hands-on development and technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of backend developers, fostering a culture of collaboration and technical excellence.
• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and high-performance backend systems.
• Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to define technical requirements and solutions.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and ensure high-quality development standards.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and incorporate them into the development process as needed.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a backend developer, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Expertise in Python and API development using Flask.
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services.
• Proficiency in MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Experience with Docker for containerization and deployment.
• Experience with queuing systems such as RabbitMQ (a plus).
• Front-end development experience (a plus).
• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• A "Get things done" attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
