Backend Developer Job Description

About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer with expertise in TypeScript and Node.js, along with cloud experience. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing our backend systems. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in cloud migration, specifically from AWS to Azure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance backend services using TypeScript and Node.js.
• Design and implement scalable APIs and microservices.
• Optimize application performance and ensure high availability.
• Lead and contribute to cloud migration efforts, particularly transitioning from AWS to Azure.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration.
• Implement best security practices in cloud environments.
• Monitor and troubleshoot system performance issues and optimize backend infrastructure.
• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in backend development using TypeScript and Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, primarily AWS and Azure.
• Experience with cloud migration projects, preferably AWS to Azure.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and API development.
• Proficiency in database management (SQL and NoSQL databases).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience with authentication, authorization, and security best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with serverless computing (Azure Functions, AWS Lambda).
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, or Datadog.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Previous experience working with enterprise-scale applications.
