VMware & Storage/Backup Engineer

We are seeking an experienced VMware & Storage/Backup Engineer to join our server team, responsible for managing and maintaining critical production systems. This role combines expertise in VMware and storage/backup technologies, ensuring the health and performance of our infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and optimize the performance of existing systems
• Generate performance and capacity reports, set up monitoring alerts
• Conduct resource capacity planning
• Build and maintain disaster recovery (DR) systems and procedures
• Oversee storage and backup operations, ensuring efficient backups and restorations

Requirements:

• Experience working in a production environment
• Proficiency in VMware vSphere
• Experience with Dell Storage and backup systems
• Strong understanding of SAN switches administration and configuration
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
• Fluent in English

Strong Advantages:

• Experience with Linux servers
• Familiarity with Dell Blade systems
• Experience with SAN switches (Brocade or Cisco)
• Knowledge of Disaster Recovery systems and procedures
