Spotnet is looking for a Cloud Specialist with expertise in Azure and VMware to join our leading technology team. This role involves managing, optimizing, and implementing advanced cloud solutions, integrating security, automation, and performance enhancements.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of proven experience managing VMware environments, along with strong expertise in Azure, and the ability to lead cloud migration projects, infrastructure upgrades, and security integrations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and operate cloud infrastructures on Azure, including Compute, Storage, Networking, and Security.
• Deep expertise in VMware – deployment, maintenance, optimization, upgrades, cloud migrations, and virtual resource management.
• Lead migration projects from on-premises environments to the cloud – including planning, architecture, and hybrid cloud implementations.
• Develop and implement cloud security solutions – Zero Trust, Identity Management (Entra ID / Azure AD), encryption, and advanced monitoring.
• Automate IT processes in cloud and on-premises environments – using Terraform, Bicep, and PowerShell.
• Optimize cloud performance and cost efficiency – resource management, scaling, load balancing, and cost control strategies.
• Backup, disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity planning – utilizing solutions like Azure Backup, Veeam, and Rubrik.
• Collaborate with DevOps, IT, and security teams – supporting cross-organizational projects and process improvements.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience working with VMware – including virtualization infrastructure management, deployment, maintenance, and cloud migrations.
• 3-5 years of experience with Microsoft Azure – including infrastructure setup, security, networking, and optimization.
• Strong cloud security expertise – including IAM, SIEM/SOAR, Firewall as a Service, VPNs, and SASE.
• Deep understanding of cloud networking – including Load Balancers, Private Link, and Azure Virtual WAN.
• Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – Terraform, Bicep, PowerShell.
• Proficiency in backup and disaster recovery solutions for cloud and on-premises – Azure Backup, Veeam, Rubrik.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks – working with teams and clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Linux – a plus.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerization – an advantage.
• Experience with log management and monitoring tools – Zabbix, Azure Monitor.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in cloud environments.
