Head of AI

About The Position

Stampli is looking for a Head of AI to drive the strategic adoption and integration of AI across our B2B SaaS product and organization. In this role, you will set and execute the strategic AI agenda, ensuring alignment with business goals while identifying and prioritizing AI opportunities that drive innovation and efficiency.

This is a high-impact leadership role where you will take end-to-end ownership of Stampli’s AI strategy, guiding its development from initial research to full deployment. Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership
• Develop and execute the strategic vision for AI across the organization
• Identify and help prioritize AI opportunities that align with business goals and drive innovation
• With Product
• With other stakeholders
• Influence company-wide decisions and integrate AI into the product and the various business units.
• Research and Development
• Manage the AI research team and the AI development team
• Drive teams execution and lead creative thinking to reach innovative solutions
• Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to keep the organization at the forefront of AI advancements
• Encourage and facilitate continuous learning and experimentation within the team
• Management & Project Oversight
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of AI projects.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the desired outcomes
• Work closely with product and other stakeholders to gather requirements and build a plan
• Manage the execution of the group, ensure productive relationship between the different disciplines within the team and with external stakeholders
  
  

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, or a related field.
• 8+ years of industry experience in developing and deploying deep learning algorithms, with a proven track record of delivering complex AI solutions.
• 5+ years of leadership experience, managing teams of 10+ employees, including performance evaluation, coaching, and professional development.
• Proven ability to lead, architect, and deliver AI-driven solutions to address complex business challenges.
• Expertise in Python, with a strong understanding of software architecture patterns, microservices deployment, and scalable AI solutions.
• Analytical and fast problem solver – adept at breaking down complex challenges, iterating rapidly, and delivering impactful solutions.
• Self-motivated and adaptable, with a strong ability to learn and apply new concepts and technologies.
  
  

• Strong leadership and communication skills – able to drive AI initiatives and influence cross-functional teams.
• Ownership mindset – takes full responsibility for projects from PoC to production deployment. Able to take accountability and communicate to top company management.

• Hands-on experience with ML/Generative AI frameworks such as LLMs, LangChain, Hugging Face Transformers, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
• Experience implementing and scaling LLM-based solutions in production environments.
