Job Description

Job Summary:

The on call Internal specialist is responsible for providing care to emergency and critically ill patients. The specialist will respond promptly to hospital calls and provide timely medical treatments as required, ensuring that patients care adheres to highest clinical standards.

Responsibilities

• He should respond to emergency calls on time and should be well prepared for 24/7.
• History taking and completion of related documentations for admitted patients.
• Perform complete physical examination of patients as per their need.
• Advice, completion and accurate interpretation of laboratory and radiology exams according to patient’ needs and relevant guidelines and forms.
• Make accurate diagnosis of patient’s illnesses in consideration to history, physical exam and laboratory exam findings.
• Advice and manage treatment of admitted patients as per diagnosis and patient’s needs.
• Ensure that the hospital procedures are applied for patients.
• Provide consultation, counseling, managing and follow up of critically ill patients according to patient health status.
• Assist in data collection according to data collection method and tools.
• Follow up of specific standards, protocols, procedures, rules in regulations during daily works.
• Built his/her self-own capacity and participate in training session assigned for.
• Provide preventive and primitive counseling in Unit to the patients and clients.
• Perform other related tasks assigned by supervisor.
  
  

Job Requirements

• Medical Degree from recognized university.
• Specialization degree in general Internal attested by MoPH
• .3-5 years of working experience as a specialist position in a recognized hospital.
• Availability to respond to consult requests from the emergency department, inpatient units, and other hospital departments 24/7.
• Ability to arrive at the hospital within a specified timeframe (e.g. 30 minutes) when called in.
• Strong communication skill.
• Good interaction and pleasant behavior with patients, clients and colleagues.
• Very good knowledge of Pashto, Dari and English Language (written and spoken).
• Basic computer (Ms. Office) skills.
