Digital Application/Solution Engineer

Responsibilities

Keysight is looking for an experienced Digital Application/Solution Engineer that will work closely with Keysight's Field Sales team and customers to understand measurement challenges, propose solutions using Keysight hardware, software, and demonstrate Keysight's ability to help customers be successful.

Additionally, this position provides opportunities to present technical seminars, demonstrations, etc. that convey the Application/Solution Engineer's application expertise along with insights from Keysight products.

Being persuasive to create customer preference for Keysight products as well as developing strong customer relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction are key aspects to this position.

Description

Delivers technical expertise for solution implementation to customer based on Keysight products and services. Is focused during various phases of the sales process including customer requirements analysis, feature-by-feature demonstrations, benchmarks, competitive positioning, and implementation/execution, generally allocated by project and engineering services.

• Understands customer’s problems, recommends solutions to meet their needs, and ensures customer satisfaction.
• Is responsible for demos and for enhancing customers’ experience and satisfaction.
• Acts as the customer voice to influence future product design that meets customer needs.
• Integrates Keysight products and services (at the system/solutions level) into customer’s environment. Prepares detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer products, applications and/or solutions.
• Ensures the product functions per specifications. Also ensures our system solution platform is functioning properly at the customer site.

May be product or technology focused. May deliver customer training classes and consulting related to our application, as well as assist in pre-sales, as part of their tasks.

• Reduces broad concepts, business strategies into structured projects
• Leads the design/ delivery of integrated multiple technologies solutions; is the key contributor of technical expertise and business/ industry knowledge
• Solves complex, high impact system/application engineering services problems

This position is focused on Keysight's digital solutions for applications and technologies like

• PCI Express, CXL, USB3, USB4, DisplayPort and other computer bus standards
• Datacom standards, 400G/800G/1.6T, PAM-4, Optical interfaces
• DDR memory
• MIPI D/M/C-PHY design and test
• Oscilloscopes, Digital Communication Analyzers, Bit Error Rate Testers, Arbitrary Waveform Generators
• Test environment automation (test equipment focused)
• Signal integrity, jitter measurement, time domain reflectometry, network analysis, optical measurements
• Cross correlation between measurements and systems simulation

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or University Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong understanding of high-speed digital measurement applications.
• Passion for continuous learning in high-speed digital and digital protocol technology.
• Typically 8+ years relevant experience in high speed digital design, product support or applications engineering experience for this role.
• Communication skills: strong written communication; Able to clearly and convincingly express ideas. Compelling and concise communicator. Effective presentation skills in large and small settings.
