Java Software Engineer

We are looking for a Strong Junior Java engineer to join our cloud compute team. Our backend engineer will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and maintenance of our API-based and database-driven web applications that will drive our software engineering efforts and provide crucial control tools for our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Research and design new product features and components
• Leading the development of modules/features in all technical aspects such as finding the best technological solution, suggesting the suitable architecture and design, applying smart algorithms and such
• Developing, testing, and debugging complicated problems and algorithms
• Writing design and architecture documents
• Integrate with all sorts of parts of a system, such as MySQL, Elastic, Redis, AWS services etc.
• Supporting customers and handling escalations and tickets

Job Requirements

• Strong fundamental software engineering skills (design patterns, algorithms, data structures)
• Object-oriented development experience in Java (2-3 years)
• Experience working in a Linux environment
• Quick learner, always up to date with new technologies
• Team player with strong social and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technology experience from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with Amazon Web Services/Google Cloud Platform/Azure
• Familiar and Experienced with Kubernetes
• Ability to work independently and lead others if so required
• Worked in an Agile development environment such as Scrum/Kanban
