We are seeking a Bioprocess Engineer to support our biological R&D efforts, driving innovation in enzymatic and bacterial technologies that serve as the foundation of our bio-based cement replacement products 🚀.

Key Responsibilities:

·     Fermentation Process Development: Design and optimize bacterial fermentation systems for scalable bio-cement production.

·     Biomineralization Process Development: Design and optimize bacterial biomineralization systems for scalable bio-cement production including optimization of biomass to mineral conversion ratio.

·     Process Scale-Up: Transition from laboratory-scale to industrial-scale production while maintaining efficiency and product quality.

·     Bioprocess Monitoring & Optimization: Ensure optimal bioprocess conditions, including pH, temperature, oxygen levels, and nutrient supply.

·     Technology Integration: Work closely with microbiologists and materials scientists to incorporate bioprocess advancements into concrete manufacturing.

·     Process Efficiency Improvements: Develop and implement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce production costs.

·     Regulatory Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all bioprocesses adhere to industry safety and quality standards.

Qualifications:

·     Bachelor's or Master's degree in Bioprocess Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.

·     Experience in designing and scaling up microbial fermentation processes.

·     Proficiency in bioreactor operation, process control, and optimization techniques.

·     Knowledge of microbial-induced calcite precipitation (MICP) is a plus.

·     Strong analytical skills and experience with process simulation software.

·     Excellent project management and communication skills.
