US tax attorney

Job Description:

Meitar’s tax department is experiencing rapid and continuous growth and is looking to add a quality candidate with a strong background in US taxation.

The work primarily involves working in small, personal, and professional teams, and in the current position, the focus is mainly on the following topics:

• Tax advice in connection with cross-border transactions involving Israeli and international companies with a focus on the technology sector. You will work on cutting edge M&A transaction, IPOs, financing transactions and international joint ventures.
• Provide tax planning and support for individuals and trusts, including Israelis investing in the US, dual-residents, cross-border families and succession planning.
• Tax advice in the fields of employee and executive compensation, including aspects of relocation.

Requirements:

• 2-6 years of experience in a leading US law firm or accounting firm
• JD/LLB degree; LLM in tax an advantage
• Excellent writing skills in English; reasonable command of Hebrew language.
• Experience in the fields of fund formation and structuring investment for funds – an advantage.
• Experience in handling US-Israeli transactions – an advantage.
