Purchasing Manager

We are currently seeking a Purchasing Manager to oversee our procurement processes and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have experience in purchasing management, preferably in the food and beverage, cosmetics, or pharmaceutical industries. Experience with the sourcing and purchasing of raw materials, particularly of botanical molecules and fragrances, is highly desirable. The successful candidate will also have a proven track record in material planning and management within ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of raw materials.
• Source, evaluate and qualify new suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain relationships to optimize procurement outcomes.
• Assess and enhance existing supplier partnerships, strategizing methods for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
• Proactively source and negotiate the procurement of new botanical molecules and raw materials, diligently pursuing the most competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards and adhering to budgetary constraints.
• Devise and execute comprehensive material planning strategies to ensure seamless procurement processes, minimize lead times, and optimize inventory levels, in alignment with organizational objectives
• Utilize inventory management systems to monitor stock levels, track inventory movements, and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and maintain inventory procedures to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Implement process improvements and drive initiatives to enhance procurement and inventory management practices.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including production, quality assurance, and finance, to forecast demand and ensure adequate inventory levels.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to inform decision-making and mitigate risks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Economics, Supply chain management, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in purchasing management, preferably in the food, cosmetics, or pharmaceutical industries.
• Proven experience in the purchase of raw materials, particularly molecules and fragrances, is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in inventory management systems (Priority ERP).
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
• Fluent in English
