Gentex Technologies Israel – GTI, is the Israeli R&D center of Gentex, located in Tel-Aviv. We are focused on developing the next generation of automotive machine vision AI technology and Electro-Optics sensors for in-cabin and driver monitoring applications. GTI is Gentex’s AI and Structured-Light center-of-excellence. Our AI vision algorithms are integrated into Gentex products, run on embedded platforms and are an integral part of leading Car manufacturers (OEMs) around the world.

About the Role

Our Data and Validation Operations team is at the center of all of GTI’s operations. As we develop Deep-Learning based products, everything starts and ends with data. Accordingly, we completely own our own data: The team is responsible for all the aspects of data value chain from setup construction and calibration through operation to data post processing, annotation and data lake handling. Leading this team combines technical leadership as well as hiring, mentoring and developing team members. In addition, the team lead is also responsible for product testing and validation, working closely with all relevant stakeholders including algo, systems and our global product teams. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to combine technical expertise, data prowess and leadership abilities to lead a central activity at GTI.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of professionals with different domain expertise, responsible for the entire data life-cycle for our data collection operations – from setup design, through building and commissioning to data annotation and repository ownership.
• Stay current in the state-of-the-art in data collection technologies and techniques.
• Lead, develop and build new HW based, computer vision/deep learning data collection setups for in-cabin sensing and other domains.
• Lead, design and execute data collection procedures with human subjects, subject sourcing, campaign planning, including with international 3rd parties.
• Lead design and implement data digest, annotation, verification and validation pipelines on large scale, cloud-based data repositories including Overseeing data process integrity and quality.
• Source and develop synthetic data technologies – deploy tools, processes and best-practices across GTI’s operation.
• Lead the development and deployment of validation and certification capabilities and expertise.

Required Skills and qualifications

• BSc in engineering/computer science or related fields. An MSc is an advantage.
• At least 7 years of experience in data operations. Machine vision related experience a strong advantage.
• A problem solver and a team player.
• Experience with using and building HW based data collection setups
• At least 3+ years of experience as a team leader.
• Strong technical skills. Analytical thinking and problem solving orientation.

Preferred Skills

• Background in optics/3D modelling (sensors, illumination, calibration, etc)
• Proficiency in Python, automation environments
• Experience in Automotive applications.
