Vice President Research And Development

Nevia Bio is on a mission to revolutionize women's health with cutting-edge diagnostics for early detection of gynecological cancers. We are looking for an exceptional VP of R&D to lead our multidisciplinary research team in advancing AI-driven biomarker discovery and non-invasive diagnostic solutions.

Position Overview: 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced VP of R&D to lead our research and development activities. This role requires a strong scientific background, strategic vision, and exceptional leadership skills to oversee both in vitro and in silico R&D teams. The VP of R&D will serve as the company’s scientific authority, guiding innovation and ensuring high-quality, impactful outcomes. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Lead, mentor, and manage multidisciplinary R&D teams, including research scientists in immunology and molecular biology, computational biology, and data science. 
• Oversee and guide clinical development and other R&D efforts, ensuring high-quality research, including experimental design and results analysis. 
• Develop long-term research goals and pipeline to align with the company’s strategic vision. 
• Collaborate with regulatory, clinical, and commercial teams to ensure research meets regulatory and market needs. 
• Represent Nevia Bio at scientific, clinical, and business conferences. 

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related disciplines*
• 10+ years of experience in R&D roles in the biotech industry*
• 5+ year of experience in senior R&D management positions (director and above) in a biotech company*
• Solid foundation in statistics and bioinformatics methods, as well as omics data analysis with machine learning applications
• Experience in developing immunoassays for IVD is a significant advantage
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Fluent in English
