Senior Data Analyst

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our team at LinearB. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, extensive experience in data analysis, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to support strategic decision-making, improve business processes, and drive growth, with a focus on enhancing developer productivity and engineering metrics.

What You'll Do

• Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
• Conduct in-depth research on industry trends and best practices to inform data strategies.
• Develop, maintain, and deliver comprehensive reports to internal stakeholders and customers using data analysis and a variety of tools, including dashboards and visualizations, tailored to LinearB's engineering performance metrics.
  • Generate actionable insights and identify opportunities for value creation across departments.
  • Offer data-driven recommendations to enhance engineering efficiency and improve team outcomes.
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units to communicate findings effectively.
• Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and technologies.

Qualifications:

• Must:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a senior or lead role.
  • Proficient in SQL, Python, and Google Sheets.
  • Expertise in creating compelling visualizations to effectively communicate data insights.
  • Strong storytelling skills to present complex data in a clear and impactful way to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including in English.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Advantage:
  • Familiarity with common software engineering practices such as Git branches, pull requests, agile sprints, etc.)
  • Knowledge of engineering efficiency such as metrics and tools (e.g., Git analytics, DORA metrics)
  • Experience with data visualization libraries and tools such as Tableau, plotly, pandas, matplotlib, seaborn.
  • Experience in statistical modeling and predictive analytics.
