Experienced Back-End Engineer (data integration)

We are looking for an experienced Back-End Engineer to join our Data Ingest team, focusing on integrating data from various third-party systems into our backend infrastructure.

As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for developing robust and scalable systems that collect, process, and manage data from external APIs and services, ensuring seamless integration with our database systems.

What You'll Do

• Lead and own features "end to end" from product requirements through code in production
• Contribute to the design, architecture, and development of our infrastructure and services
• Integrate with various external project management and git providers services into our backend infrastructure and ensure data consistency and reliability
• Produce highly scalable, high-quality software in the fast-paced environment of a startup company

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience with backend software development, with at least 2+ years of experience in Python
• Experience working with relational DB (MySQL, PostgreSQL), understanding of data modeling, indexing, and optimization.
• Experience with API Integrations: Develop and maintain integration systems to collect data from multiple third-party services, APIs, or external data providers.
• Familiarity with OAuth2.0, API key management, JWT, PAT and other security protocols to manage secure communication with third-party services.
• Familiarity with Rate Limiting & Throttling
• Experience with development, deployment and automation on AWS - S3, SNS, SQS, lambda, batch, dynamo, RDS etc.
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale, high-quality SaaS products
• A proactive, results-driven attitude with the ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
