We are seeking a hands-on Head of AI to lead our AI strategy, development, and deployment efforts. This role requires a visionary leader who is deeply technical, capable of driving innovation while also building and mentoring a high-performance AI team. The ideal candidate will be a thought leader in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science, with a strong background in deploying AI models into production at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the company's AI strategy in alignment with business objectives. Identify key areas where AI can drive significant value.
• Hands-On Development: Actively contribute to coding, prototyping, and deploying AI/ML models. Implement scalable AI architectures and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
• Model Development & Deployment: Lead research, development, and deployment of AI models for various applications, including NLP, computer vision, anomaly detection, and generative AI.
• Technical Innovation: Stay at the forefront of AI advancements, bringing in cutting-edge methodologies and technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Recruit, manage, and mentor a team of AI engineers, data scientists, and ML researchers.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and business teams to align AI initiatives with company goals.
• Data Strategy & Infrastructure: Oversee the development of robust data pipelines, AI/ML frameworks, and cloud-based AI infrastructure.
• AI Ethics & Compliance: Ensure AI models are fair, transparent, and compliant with ethical and regulatory standards.
• Performance Monitoring: Define success metrics for AI projects, ensuring continuous improvement and optimization of AI solutions.

Key Qualifications

• Educational Background: PhD or Master's in AI, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience: 8+ years of experience in AI/ML, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Technical Expertise: Deep proficiency in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, LLMs, and MLOps best practices.
• Industry Experience: Strong track record of deploying AI solutions in real-world applications (e.g., cybersecurity, finance, healthcare, automation, etc.).
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Experience with cloud-based AI/ML platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and distributed computing.
• Big Data & Engineering: Proficiency in handling large-scale datasets and working with data engineering teams.
• AI Productization: Proven ability to take AI models from research to full-scale production.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex AI concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in generative AI, reinforcement learning, or federated learning.
• Contributions to AI research publications or open-source AI projects.
• Experience with regulatory frameworks (GDPR, AI Act, Responsible AI Guidelines).
• Familiarity with DevOps, Kubernetes, and CI/CD for AI pipelines.
