Storage Specialist 5134

We are looking for a skilled Storage Specialist to join the System Team.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, managing, and maintaining the company's storage systems based on technologies from NetApp, DellEMC, ensuring high performance, availability, and maximum data security. This expert will be responsible for the ongoing management and maintenance of the storage systems, providing guidance to technical teams, and performing optimizations to ensure system efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing, maintaining, analyzing performance, and troubleshooting storage systems
• In-depth knowledge of storage and communication systems:
• NetApp (FAS, AFF, E-Series)
• DellEMC (Xtremio, Isilon, VNX)
• CISCO (MDS, SAN Zone management)
• Experience with NFS and CIFS file systems
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP communication, VLAN, and trunk connectivity for storage systems
• Familiarity with monitoring systems such as Grafana and Cacti
• Proficiency in Ansible and script creation in languages like Bash, Python, etc.
• Experience with storage allocation in VMware systems and physical servers
• Full proficiency in Linux systems

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Performing routine version updates and implementing new solutions
• Troubleshooting, resolving issues, and maintaining storage systems
• Optimizing storage performance to ensure system efficiency
• Managing backup and recovery solutions (Snapshot, SnapMirror, SnapVault)
• Designing and implementing automated backup solutions to prevent data loss
• Providing support to IT, DevOps, and development teams on storage-related technical queries
• Collaborating with development teams to understand storage needs and provide tailored solutions
• Monitoring storage system performance and optimizing resource usage
• Performing analysis and capacity management
• Overseeing security policies for storage systems
• Ensuring compliance with information security requirements and external regulations
• Documenting storage systems, processes, and procedures
• Conducting training for team members

Required Skills & Expertise:

• Expertise in RedHat operating system
• Network configuration expertise
• Strong scripting capabilities (Shell, Ansible, Python)
• Virtualization experience (VMware, Proxmox, OpenShift)
• Service management experience (systemd, etc.)
• Performance tuning expertise
• DNS expertise
• Familiarity with ISP hardware (routers, switches, modems)
• Troubleshooting network issues
• Network security and detection systems knowledge
• DNS server administration
• IP network (IPv4, IPv6)
• Bandwidth management and traffic shaping
• Routing and switching (OSPF, BGP, MPLS)
