Your Impact at MyEdSpace:

As a Tech Lead, you'll drive technical innovation and execution, developing a groundbreaking learning platform that merges exceptional B2C experiences with cutting-edge AI technologies. Backed by top global VCs, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping how students engage with education, delivering visually captivating, intuitive, and high-performance digital experiences that redefine learning in the AI era.

The Job to Be Done:

Technical Leadership & Architecture:

• Lead technical strategy and architectural decisions to build scalable, robust, and performant products.
• Mentor and guide the engineering team, fostering best practices and technical excellence.
• Collaborate closely with product and design teams to ensure seamless integration between technical capabilities and outstanding UX/UI.

AI & Technology Innovation:

• Drive integration of AI and LLM technologies to enhance personalized learning experiences.
• Evaluate and implement cutting-edge technology solutions to maintain platform innovation.
• Ensure high-quality, scalable codebases that support rapid iteration and growth.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Internal Tooling:

• Partner effectively with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.
• Build robust internal tooling, including advanced admin management, CMS capabilities, and user analytics.
• Balance internal operational tooling needs with external product performance and reliability.

Agile Execution & Product Development:

• Own technical delivery from design and development through launch and iteration.
• Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate on new features and enhancements.
• Manage technical debt proactively to ensure long-term platform health and scalability.

Platform Reliability & Performance:

• Maintain platform reliability, security, and scalability, optimizing for high availability.
• Implement observability and monitoring strategies to maintain outstanding platform performance.
• Continuously improve technical operations, automation, and infrastructure management.

The Profile We’re Looking For:

Proven Full Stack Technical Leadership:

• 5+ years experience in engineering roles, with 2+ years in technical leadership or tech lead positions.
• Strong expertise in building scalable, high-performance digital products.
• Deep understanding of modern software architectures, including microservices, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD practices.

Built World-Class Consumer Facing Products:

• Experience developing visually engaging, interactive consumer-facing products.
• Background in gaming, entertainment, edtech, or social media preferred.

Expertise in AI & Emerging Technologies:

• Hands-on experience or strong interest in AI, machine learning, and LLM integration.
• Proven ability to leverage technology innovation to enhance user experiences.

Strong Internal Tooling Experience:

• Experienced in developing internal tools such as advanced admin rights management and CMS-like systems.
• Comfortable balancing internal tooling needs and consumer product performance.

Entrepreneurial & Agile Mindset:

• Entrepreneurial approach, comfortable with ambiguity, rapid experimentation, and iterative development.
• Ability to quickly pivot and effectively prioritize tasks and resources.

Knowledge of Education Systems:

• Familiarity with UK and US education systems is advantageous.

Collaborative & Mentoring Approach:

• Skilled in mentoring engineering teams, fostering technical growth and a culture of excellence.
• Effective communicator with cross-functional teams, driving alignment and shared objectives.

Location and Work Style:

• Global remote work, but must be able to work UK time zones (flexibility is expected in the early stages)
• Willingness to fly to UK at least once a year (company paid)
