Quality Assurance Engineer (Manual)

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain manual testing methodologies to ensure software functionality and stability.
• Conduct thorough manual testing of web applications, APIs, and backend services to identify bugs or issues.
• Write, revise, and verify quality standards and test procedures for software validation.
• Execute SQL queries to validate data integrity and troubleshoot backend-related defects.
• Perform REST API testing using tools such as Postman to verify endpoints, responses, and integrations.
• Review product design documentation to ensure clear, testable, and verifiable requirements.
• Collaborate closely with developers to understand product changes and update test cases accordingly.
• Document and communicate testing results, report defects, and provide feedback to the development team.
• Maintain and execute test scenarios within internal automation tools to support ongoing quality assurance efforts.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Manual QA Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, and execution.
• Hands-on experience with SQL queries for validating and debugging backend data.
• Experience with REST API testing using tools such as Postman.
• Familiarity with Linux and AWS environments (Advantage).
• Strong knowledge of SaaS applications and cloud-based platforms.
• Background in economics is highly desirable.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, or a related field.
