Role Description

We’re looking for a VP R&D to lead our development team, collaborate closely with product teams, and drive the technological vision and innovation of our platform. The VP R&D will oversee all research and development activities, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

🔹 Directly lead and mentor a cross-functional team of data scientists and engineers, fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and innovative environment.

🔹 Develop and execute the technical roadmap for our AI & Engineering platform, aligning with company objectives and product vision.

🔹 Oversee the full lifecycle of AI & Engineering solutions, from design and development to deployment and optimization of real-time data processing pipelines.

🔹 Own and drive the MLOps strategy, ensuring robust model deployment, monitoring, continuous integration, and system reliability in our cloud environment.

🔹 communicate technical concepts, project progress, and strategic direction to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

🔹 Lead the team in delivering high-quality, impactful AI solutions, tracking their success against KPIs and business objectives.

Qualifications:

✔️ 5+ years of professional experience in AI/ML development and deployment teams.

✔️ Proven experience leading and managing cross-functional teams of data scientists and engineers in a startup or fast-paced environment.

✔️ Hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying production-grade ML pipelines and systems at scale.

✔️ Deep understanding and practical experience with Generative AI and LLMs (e.g., RAG systems, Agentic AI).

✔️ Strong expertise in cloud computing platforms (AWS).

✔️ Proven success in building and scaling cloud infrastructure using DevOps practices, particularly Terraform for deployment.

✔️ Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.

✔️ Strong programming skills in Python, with proficiency in ML frameworks and libraries such as HuggingFace Transformers, LangChain, and OpenAI API.
