Mechanical Designer

ARAN Research and Development is recruiting a mechanical designer.

Responsibilities

• Generating innovative designs that incorporate precision mechanisms, pneumatic systems, opto-mechanical design, vibration isolation, cooling systems, clean-air and flow design, and electronic packaging.
• Performing tolerance analysis, GD&T, error budgeting, and managing the flow up and down of requirements and design.
• Performing finite element analysis, encompassing modal analysis, thermal analysis, and flow analysis.
• Offering support for customer concerns, investigations malfunction of new designs, and support (including at customer sites and manufacturing support).

Qualifications

• Master's Level Degree with a proven experience or Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 5 years of experience.
• Deep understanding of physics and mechanics.
• Knowledge in Precision Mechanics Design, including Opto-Mechanics, is a necessity.
• Knowledge in Pneumatics is advantageous.
• Proficiency with 3D SolidWorks modeling CAD; Experience with Flow Simulation and Simulation Professional is advantageous.
• Experience with ANSYS is advantageous.
• Knowledge of materials and their characteristics.
• Familiarity with mechanical manufacturing processes, including machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, etc.
• Good communication and team working skills are imperative.
• Ability to work quickly under stress on multiple tasks.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with other teams in a diverse and stressful environment.
• Strong English oral and written communication skills.
