Position: Video Editing Teacher

Location: David Khakhami St. 18, Tel Aviv

Commitment: one class per week for at least 14-16 consecutive weeks (March-June / April-July)

Founded in 2004, The African Refugee Development Center (ARDC) is a grassroots community-based non-profit organization based in Tel Aviv, aiming to promote economic and social inclusion for refugees and asylum seekers in Israel. With over 800 program participants every year and 10,000 asylum seekers assisted to date, ARDC works to provide access to educational and employment opportunities, with the goal of bolstering social mobility and economic growth. 

Position Overview: 

We're seeking a skilled Video Editing Instructor to teach Adobe Premiere Pro. The instructor will guide students through the functions of Adobe Premiere Pro, essential editing practices, storytelling, and post-production workflows to create quality videos. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with Premiere Pro and enjoy teaching creative skills. 

• Facilitate class one day per week from 7-9pm.
• Teach video editing to adult learners, following a provided curriculum on Adobe Premiere Pro
• Adapt teaching methods to suit students.
• Review and practice class content as needed with students. 
• Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and additional support when necessary.

• Relevant academic study or professional background, ability to teach how to use Adobe Premiere Pro. 
• Teaching or tutoring experience preferred.
• Strong English communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in simple, accessible terms.
• Patience, empathy, and cultural sensitivity to work effectively with students from various backgrounds.
