MA/PhD Student – Single-Cell DNA Analysis of AML Evolution

Are you eager to harness innovative computational and machine learning techniques to address critical questions in cancer research? At the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, our Cancer Evolution Lab is seeking passionate and talented researchers to help redefine our understanding of cancer progression.

We are looking for a highly motivated MA/PhD student to investigate the evolution of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) using state-of-the-art single-cell DNA sequencing. In this role, you will:

• Analyze single-cell sequencing data to monitor AML progression and treatment response
• Uncover clonal dynamics and genetic evolution at an unprecedented resolution

Ideal Candidate Background:

Applicants should possess one of the following:

• Computational: A bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field, paired with a keen interest in biology.
• Biological: A degree in biotechnology, biology, medical science, or a similar discipline, with strong computational skills.

Additional Experience or Interest:

• Computational biology, bioinformatics, or related fields
• Handling next-generation sequencing (NGS) data
• Programming in Python or R
