About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Team Lead to drive automation, scalability, and operational excellence across our AWS-based infrastructure. This role will lead a team of DevOps engineers responsible for building and maintaining cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and security best practices.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience in AWS, Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform & CloudFormation), CI/CD automation, monitoring, and security. They will play a key role in designing and implementing scalable infrastructure, improving developer velocity, and ensuring high availability of critical services.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of automation, reliability, and continuous improvement.
• Define and execute a DevOps strategy aligned with company goals, focusing on AWS infrastructure, CI/CD efficiency, and security best practices.
• Manage and optimize Kubernetes (EKS), containerized workloads (Docker), and serverless functions (Lambda, Fargate, API Gateway).
• Own and improve Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Enhance and manage CI/CD pipelines using BitBucket Pipelines/GitHub Actions/GitLab CI/CD/ Jenkins.
• Drive zero-downtime deployments, Blue/Green & Canary releases, and rollback strategies.
• Implement best practices for observability—logging, monitoring, and alerting (Coralogix, NewRelic, Logz.io, CloudWatch).
• Implement cloud security best practices, IAM policies, network security, and encryption.
• Own incident response, disaster recovery, and system reliability strategies (SLOs, SLIs, SLAs).
• Continuously monitor and optimize cloud costs, leveraging AWS cost management tools.
• Improve application and infrastructure performance through fine-tuning and scaling strategies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of DevOps/SRE experience, with at least 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Expert knowledge of AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, EKS, VPC, IAM, API Gateway, etc.).
• Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform & CloudFormation).
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools (BitBucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins).
• Deep understanding of containers & Kubernetes (EKS, Helm).
• Strong background in monitoring/logging (Coralogix, NewRelic, Logz.io, CloudWatch, Prometheus).
• Experience in securing cloud environments (WAF, IAM, KMS, security scanning).
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (Bash, Python, Go, or similar).
• Proven experience leading and growing DevOps teams.
• Strong communication skills—able to work cross-functionally with developers and product teams.
• A problem-solving mindset with a passion for automation and efficiency.
• Ability to balance hands-on technical work with strategic leadership.
