Vice President Operations

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated VP Operations and Production who will be a pivotal member of the leadership team, responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company’s operational and production processes. 

This role is ideal for a visionary leader with extensive experience in scaling and on-going production of a medical device under ISO 13485, in medical device growth companies. 

The candidate will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategies that drive efficiency, ensure product quality and meet increasing market demands.

Key Responsibilities:

●      Develop and execute operations and production strategy aligned with company growth goals.

●      Build and lead a high-performing operations and production team.

●      Manage production of an implantable medical device under ISO 13485 in a controlled environment.

●      Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and industry certifications.

●      Oversee the supply chain to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.

●      Ensure alignment between production capacity and market demand projections.

●      Plan and manage the scaling of production facilities, resources, and workforce to support growth.

●      Manage relationships with key suppliers, vendors, and contractors.

●      Identify and implement process improvements and optimization to increase efficiency and scalability and improve customer satisfaction.

●      Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor production output, efficiency, and quality.

●      Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration.

Qualifications:

●      Bachelor’s degree in engineering, life sciences, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).

●      Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior operations or production role, within the medical device, biotechnology, or related industry.

●      Experience working with biomaterials or nanotechnology-based medical devices.

●      Demonstrated success in scaling production and operations to meet rapid growth demands.

●      Expertise in supply chain management, logistics, and lean manufacturing principles.

●      Solid understanding of quality control, safety regulations, and compliance standards.

●      Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

●      Excellent leadership and organizational skills.

●      Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written in English

●      Strong interpersonal skills and team player

●      Hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
