DevOps Engineer

I’m excited to share a Senior DevOps Engineer role that just opened (We recruit for our client) . This position involves building and managing a hybrid infrastructure—on-prem (vanilla Kubernetes) and in AWS (EKS)—while working with CI/CD pipelines, ECK, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, Prometheus/Grafana, Terraform, Terragrunt, ISTIO, ArgoCD, MSSQL, and more. Key Responsibilities & Skills

·        Hybrid Infrastructure (Kubernetes & AWS): Design, maintain, and optimize on-prem (vanilla Kubernetes) and AWS (EKS) environments. Minimum of 4+ years in DevOps or a similar role, plus AWS expertise (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM).

·        Kubernetes Clusters: Deploy, operate, and scale Kubernetes with Helm, Operators, and best practices.

·        Kafka: Set up and manage Kafka clusters for real-time data streaming, ensuring performance and reliability.

·        CI/CD Pipelines: Implement and refine automated build, test, and release workflows (Azure Pipelines, Jenkins, ArgoCD).

·        ECK & Elasticsearch: Manage Elasticsearch clusters on Kubernetes, focusing on performance and reliability.

·        Messaging & Caching: Configure and maintain Kafka, RabbitMQ, and Redis for real-time streaming and caching.

·        Observability: Use Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting.

·        IaC & Automation: Leverage Terraform/Terragrunt for Infrastructure as Code; must have Bash & Python skills (Go is a plus).

·        Service Mesh: Introduce advanced traffic management with ISTIO for enhanced observability and security.

·        Database Management: Optimize MSSQL databases for performance and uptime.

·        DevSecOps: Incorporate security and compliance checks throughout the development pipeline.

·        Collaboration & Leadership: Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, mentor colleagues, and foster continuous improvement.
