We're seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to join our development team in building and scaling Quantum - a sophisticated cloud-based collateral and waterfall cash flow modeling engine for structured finance. This is an opportunity to work on complex financial algorithms while creating meaningful impact in the institutional corporate finance market.

• Design and implement scalable solutions for complex financial modeling requirements
• Develop and optimize sophisticated backend systems and algorithms
• Participate actively in the full development lifecycle - from technical design through implementation and production deployment
• Contribute to architectural decisions that balance immediate needs with long-term scalability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams through sprint planning, daily scrums, and code reviews
• Help drive engineering excellence through best practices and mentorship

• 5+ years of backend development experience
• B.Sc in Computer Science or equivalent field
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills
• Experience with building scalable, high-performance backend systems
• Excellent attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
• Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively

• Experience with Python and PostgreSQL
• Background in financial models or strong mathematical skills
• Experience with microservices architecture
