Job Description

• Perform Basic Network Device initial installations, configurations under supervision and approval of Network Administrator and/or IT manager.
• Monitor and maintain smooth operation and basic configurations of below network devices:
• Wireless Routers
• Switch Configuration
• Cyberoam and Firewall
• Firewall
• Monitor and maintain below IT Network Services:
• HO Internet, performance, latency and utilization
• HO VPN Connections, its stability and availability.
• Weekly bandwidth Monitoring of HO Internet connections with graphs.
• Create and document administrative user to JD related devices under approval of line manager to above mentioned Devices and services.
• Ensure availability and security measures of above-mentioned Devices.
• Monitor performance and record incidences, issues with above mentioned devices.
• Maintain change forms for any changes to above mentioned devices and services.
• Perform Network Stock and items request purchases.
• Maintain frequent market analyses and visits for new technologies and improvements.
• Record network issues in case management system or log sheet.
• Ensure daily activities are compliant to IT Policies and Procedures.
• Supervise junior IT staff and ensure quality services and support delivery
• Review logs of above-mentioned devices and record and report suspicious activities.
• Maintain and store above mentioned Devices/Services related passwords in complex format and totally confidential and restricted from unauthorized access.
• Never to perform any major activity without informing and approval of Line Manager and analyzing possible affects and risks.
• Frequently call or visit departments/branches for monitoring quality of service delivery and solving their issues related to the networks.
• Being fully aware of Policy and Procedures of IT and make sure it is being followed in daily operation by System section staff.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.

Professional certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or equivalent certifications are preferred

Skills

• Proficient in networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and network management tools.
• Knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Familiarity with VPNs, VLANs, and basic network security practices.
• Ability to monitor network performance and ensure network stability.
• Experience with network security concepts, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption.
• Ability to diagnose network issues and implement corrective actions.
• Good communication skills to interact with team members and users.
