About the Role

Blumberg Capital seeks a Technology Analyst (Part-Time) to join our Tel Aviv office. This role focuses on technology research, trend analysis, and startup evaluation across our core investment areas.

The Technology Analyst will identify emerging technologies, assess investment opportunities, and provide strategic insights to the investment team. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, analytical skills, and a passion for deep tech innovation.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who wish to gain hands-on experience in venture capital while working with cutting-edge startups and breakthrough technologies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technology Research & Market Trends

• Conduct in-depth research on emerging technologies.
• Track global industry trends, identifying Israeli and international startup ecosystem investment opportunities.
• Develop market insights and technology forecasts to guide investment strategies.

2. Startup Analysis & Due Diligence

• Perform technical evaluations of startup solutions, assessing their feasibility, competitive landscape, and differentiation.
• Identify technological risks and opportunities for potential investments.

3. Investment Team Support

• Prepare technology reports and present findings to Senior Associates, Principals, and Partners.
• Collaborate with the U.S. investment team to align local trends with global investment priorities.
• Work closely with Entrepreneurs in Residence (EIRs) to evaluate emerging innovation sectors.

4. Ecosystem Engagement & Thought Leadership

• Attend technology conferences, meetups, and industry events.
• Contribute to Blumberg Capital’s thought leadership by publishing research findings and investment insights.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software development, engineering, or a related technical role.
• Previous experience working with startups or early-stage technology companies is a significant advantage.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Ability to explain complex technical topics clearly and concisely.
• Excellent communication skills in Hebrew and English – ability to write and present effectively.
• Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a global and fast-paced team environment.
