Deep Learning Engineer

A HPC startup is developing the next generation of chip technology, using breakthrough algorithms for supercomputers that address major challenges and perform powerful tasks, integrating AI in fields such as space, healthcare, energy, and economics.

The company has developed adaptive learning-based computing solutions to accelerate supercomputers and ensure breakthroughs across all areas of research.

The company is located in central Israel, within walking distance of a train station, and offers the flexibility of working from home two days a week. They have around 300 employees globally, with the majority based in Israel.

Founded by experienced entrepreneurs, the company has raised over $300M, including $100M in the past year.

The role is part of a newly established AI Application team and includes some theoretical research on neural networks, mathematics, and logic, with a strong engineering focus. The main tasks are in AI model optimization and neural network coding at an advanced level in Python for Production, working with PyTorch/TensorFlow in a hardware environment.

Requirements-

• B.Sc. degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus (M.Sc. or Ph.D.)
• Proficiency in Python and C/C++
• 4 years of experience in software engineering
• 2 years hands-on experience with profiling, analyzing, and optimizing AI models.
• Excellent command of PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Expertise in competitive performance analysis is strongly preferred
• At least one of the following:
• Demonstrable open-source contribution to relevant projects.
• Experience developing state-of-the-art neural network architectures.
• Specialization experience in ML accelerators, high performance computing, GPU and/or CPU architectures.
