Patent Attorney

ARC Sheba is looking for a Patent Attorney to join our Intellectual Property team and contribute to the development and protection of innovative technologies as part of Sheba’s innovation strategy.

The position reports to the Head of Intellectual Property at Sheba Impact, the commercialization and venture arm of Sheba Medical Center, which operates within ARC Sheba.

Intellectual property plays a key role in Sheba Impact’s commercialization process and serves as the core value driver for technology transfer at Sheba. The Patent Attorney will support the development and protection of innovative technologies as part of Sheba’s overall commercialization strategy.

ARC is Sheba Medical Center’s innovation hub, leading a technological revolution in healthcare. As part of its mission, ARC focuses on identifying, developing, and protecting intellectual property (IP) created by Sheba’s teams, including innovations in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, artificial intelligence, and digital health.

The center files over 50 new patent applications per year and manages a portfolio of more than 200 patent families worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Advising Sheba employees on intellectual property matters
• Collecting and reviewing Invention Disclosure Forms (IDFs) submitted by inventors
• Conducting preliminary patent searches and analyses
• Supporting the management of Sheba’s patent portfolio in collaboration with the innovation community, partners, and external patent attorneys
• Developing IP strategies for leading projects at Sheba and ARC Sheba
• Managing trademark protection processes
• Overseeing budget management in the IP domain

Requirements

• Certified Patent Attorney license
• Master’s or PhD in Science (preferred)
• Fast learning ability and adaptability to various technological fields
• Strong communication and presentation skills in Hebrew and English
• Team player with excellent collaboration skills
