About The Role

We’re seeking a talented, experienced Cloud Security Researcher to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in uncovering cloud vulnerabilities, publishing high-impact research, and reinforcing Cyera’s reputation as an innovator in cybersecurity. Your work will drive cutting-edge research methodologies and contribute directly to our mission of protecting data.

What You’ll Do

• Analyze a wide range of modern technologies—including cloud provider services, AI applications, and automated workflows—to uncover security vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and systemic risks.
• Stay at the forefront of the evolving security landscape by tracking new attack vectors, emerging threats, and novel exploitation techniques across cloud infrastructures and interconnected systems.
• Collaborate with fellow security researchers, PR & marketing teams, and industry experts to research and responsibly disclose cloud security issues.
• Translate your research into high-impact security insights published through technical blog posts, whitepapers, and industry presentations.
  
  

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity research or vulnerability research.
• Expertise in vulnerability discovery with a deep understanding of attack vectors, misconfigurations, and privilege escalation paths in cloud environments.
• Proven ability to analyze cloud services, APIs, and applications to identify security flaws, misconfigurations, and unintended behaviors.
• A track record of responsible disclosures—such as published CVEs or notable bug bounty findings.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go for developing proof-of-concepts and automating security research tasks.
• A passion for continuous learning, a curiosity for emerging security threats, and the ability to work independently.
• An innovative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and develop novel research methodologies.
  
  

Nice-to-Haves:

• Deep hands-on expertise in cloud security, including experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP security architectures, IAM, and cloud networking.
• Experience with public speaking at renowned security conferences such as Black Hat, DEF CON, or BSides.
• Involvement in bug bounty programs with practical experience on platforms like HackerOne or Bugcrowd.
• Contributions to open-source security tools or the development of automation scripts for security research.
