Computational Biologist

About the Position:

Imagene is seeking to hire a Computational Biologist to join our Science Team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking advancements in cancer research and diagnostics through the convergence of science, medicine and state-of-the-art technologies.

Roles and responsibilities:

● Scientific support for the development of oncology AI solutions and research by integrating scientific expertise and cutting-edge methodologies.

● Guide decisions related to data interpretation, analysis, and presentation to effectively integrate biological and clinical concepts with data analysis and bridge the gap between basic scientific research and clinical applications, ensuring relevance for AI-based healthcare products.

● Collaborate with the product team to incorporate biological concepts into the AI product development process.

Requirement qualifications:

• Master’s degree in life sciences, biomedical, bioinformatics or related field. PhD – significant advantage.
• Knowledge in computational genomics and bioinformatics.
• Scientific understanding of the oncology field, with a particular focus on cancer genetics and genomics.
• Translational research experience.
• 2+ years of relevant working experience.
• Experience with Python or R.
• Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability and attention to details.

Preferred qualifications:

• Familiarity with clinical trial studies/biomarker studies in the biopharmaceutical/diagnostics industry.
• Experience working with publicly available datasets such as TCGA
