We seek a highly motivated and skilled Electrical and Electronics Engineer to join our dynamic Operations Engineering team.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing electrical cabinets and cabling for all company systems, transferring electrical assemblies from development to production, such as cards, cables, and electrical boxes. You will drive the Design for Excellence (DFx) process for our cutting-edge automated vehicle inspection systems while working closely with the R&D team to translate their designs into robust and manufacturable products.

A day in the life and how you’ll make an impact:

• Develop and own all electrical modules of UVeye products.
• Transferring electrical assemblies from development to production, such as cards, cables, and electrical boxes
• Conduct thorough DFx analysis - including Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), Design for Test (DFT), and Design for Reliability (DFR).
• Review electrical drawings for manufacturability, testability, and reliability.
• Assist in the selection of suitable electronic components considering factors like availability, cost, reliability, and environmental robustness.
• Collaborate with the test engineering team to develop and implement test fixtures and procedures for production testing.
• Investigate and analyze field failures to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain detailed documentation of all design decisions, test results, and DFx activities.
• Lead troubleshooting of faulty electrical components.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in electronics design and manufacturing in a multidisciplinary company (with a strong emphasis on DFx principles)
• In-depth knowledge of electronic circuit design principles, including analog and digital electronics.
• Experience with PCB design tools -Altium Designer/ OrCAD and schematic capture software.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes for electronic assemblies (e.g., SMT, through-hole).
• Experience with test equipment and procedures for electronic hardware.
• Proven experience integrating new components into systems, including power supplies, communication modules, and other supporting components.
• Experience in end-to-end module ownership, including work with subcontractors.
• Proactive approach with the ability to lead and deliver.
• Readiness to work in a challenging startup environment.

Bonus if you have:

• Experience with optical systems or image processing.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to automotive or industrial equipment.
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) or other quality improvement methodologies.
