Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.? Vishay Dimona is currently seeking applicants for a Senior SV PURCHASING. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of goods and services required by the organization, carries out plans and implements activities related to the procurement of materials, parts, components, and equipment. Manages the activities of buyers to accomplish company objectives. Reviews and approves purchases up to a specifically authorized dollar amount. Takes the lead to negotiate contracts as authorized. Ensures staff coordinates purchasing activities with engineering, planning, and manufacturing departments. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. May create policies and procedures for the operation of procurement activities. Monitors the cost, schedule, and performance aspects. Backup to Divisional purchasing manager.

Job Location:

Dimona is in Southern Israel in the Negev, not far from the Dead Sea area, the lowest point on earth.

The factory in Dimona was established in 1986 and has over 1,000 employees.

What You Will Be Doing

• Supervise the purchasing team, ensuring staff are trained to plan, scope, and execute procurement activities effectively.
• Oversee relationships with key local and international suppliers to achieve high-quality performance, on-time delivery, and cost optimization.
• Lead negotiations within approved levels to secure favorable terms.
• Review and approve purchase orders, ensuring compliance with company policies and budget constraints.
• Manage periodic reports as requested by the division and corporate.
  
  

What You Will Bring Along

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Economics, Supply chain management, or a related field. Over 3 years of experience in purchasing, team leadership experience - an advantage.
• Proven track record in managing and nurturing vendor relationships.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
