Stress and Strength Simulation Engineer

Position Overview: Joining a small simulation design house, the strength designer will join as a company employee to conduct finite-element-analysis simulations to ascertain mechanical designs and to ensure the precise development of mechanical based products. This role requires expertise needed to design, lead, and conduct laboratory experiments, including defining objectives, data collection, and analysis. Writing final reports and presentations to customers.

Qualifications:

1. Mechanical/aeronautics engineering, graduate preferred.

2. Strong proficiency in FEA: specifically experience with structural, strength and stress analysis.

3. Experience working with simulation software (such as ANSYS, COMSOL, Abaqus). Basic proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Catia).

4. Experience with composite materials using explicit or implicit numerical methods.

5. Advantage to experience with heat transfer and CFD calculations.

6. High technical skills with a drive for “hands-on” work.

7. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
