Job Description

NOVE Onlus is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting vulnerable Afghan women through skills development, economic empowerment, and sustainable business initiatives. As part of the "Renew and Restart" project, we are supporting 250 Afghan women by teaching them technical skills in handicraft production using recycled materials, business development, and soft skills, with the aim of creating sustainable income-generating opportunities.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Jewelry Designer. The selected consultant will support the practical training phase by designing and developing jewelry prototypes, training beneficiaries, and ensuring high-quality, marketable products

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop jewelry prototypes using recycled plastic and other upcycled materials.
• Guide participants in design thinking, production techniques, and quality control.
• Collaborate with business mentors to align jewelry production with market trends.
• Ensure the use of safe and sustainable materials and techniques.
• Support the development of product portfolios to be showcased in exhibitions and fairs.
  
  

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience in jewelry design, particularly with recycled/upcycled materials.
• Strong knowledge of handcraft techniques and market trends in sustainable jewelry.
• Experience in training and mentoring artisans or community groups is preferred.
• Ability to work with local women and adapt training methodologies to their needs.
