Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and driven Computer Vision & Robotics Engineer to play a pivotal role in setting up our new lab in Beersheba and spearheading the design and implementation of our robotic solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of computer vision, AI, and robotics, developing state-of-the-art automation solutions for real-world applications. This role is equity-based, providing an opportunity for significant ownership in our growing company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the setup and operationalization of our new research laboratory in Beersheba, Israel.
• Develop and refine computer vision algorithms for object detection, image classification, semantic segmentation, and real-time robotic perception.
• Design and implement robotic navigation and interaction systems using ROS/ROS2.
• Integrate machine learning techniques into robotic applications to enhance perception, decision-making, and autonomy.
• Ensure robust sensor fusion techniques to improve robotic accuracy and reliability.
• Document research methodologies, technical findings, and project progress.
• Participate in coding sessions, ensuring quality and consistency across the team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in clean and structured coding.
• Proficiency in computer vision, image processing, and deep learning fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with ROS/ROS2 for robotic development and deployment.
• Experience with CAD modeling and mechanical prototyping is a plus.
• Familiarity with Unity or similar platforms for robotic simulations.
• Strong mathematical and statistical background for algorithm development and model evaluation.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and ability to work independently.
