Job Description

NOVE, a leading non-profit organization dedicated to empowering vulnerable communities, women, children, and persons with disabilities, is preparing a proposal in the food security and agriculture field. This initiative targets vulnerable families.

To support this process, NOVE is seeking an experienced Agronomist for an initial two-week period to serve as a technical advisor. The Agronomist's primary role during this phase is to contribute to the proposal design before submission to donors. This involves working closely with key authorities to co-design the proposal to align with regulatory and sectoral priorities.

Job Requirements

Proposal Development Support:

• Provide technical input to refine the project proposal.
• Ensure the proposal aligns with technical and regulatory standards required by authorities.
  
  

Technical Advisory For Proposal Co-Design With Authorities

• Engage with relevant authorities, including the Ministry of Economy (MoEC) and the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock (MAIL), to collaboratively develop the proposal.
• Participate in stakeholder meetings to integrate technical considerations into the proposal design.
• Support the preparation of necessary project documents to facilitate discussions and submission.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in agronomy, crop management, or agricultural research, with prior advisory roles preferred.
• Strong knowledge of sustainable farming practices, pest management, soil fertility, and crop health.
• Proven ability to deliver training and build capacity among diverse groups.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English, Dari, and Pashto.
• Familiarity with modern agricultural tools, technologies, and techniques.
• Strong commitment to ethical standards and maintaining confidentiality.
