Data Governance & Policy Architect - JB-417

WHAT AM I GOING TO DO?

• Define and standardize data flow processes and information flow within the organization.
• Develop and implement data governance policies to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance.
• Collaborate with ML, FinOps, and other teams to integrate data governance best practices.
• Design and oversee data governance frameworks for cloud-based environments, primarily on AWS and GCP, with some involvement in Azure.
• Create and maintain documentation for data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
• Ensure alignment of data governance practices with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
• Provide guidance and support to stakeholders on data governance-related matters.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to data governance policies.

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS and GCP, and familiarity with Azure.
• Proficiency in data management tools and technologies.
• Ability to develop and implement data governance policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with machine learning and FinOps concepts.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements.
• Experience with data governance tools and platforms.
• Background in the technology or defense sectors.
• Advanced degree in Data Science, Information Management, or a related discipline.
• Level 3 Civilian Clearance
