ML Staff Researcher

As a ML Staff Researcher at Gong, you will play a key role in developing and deploying advanced machine learning models for our sales intelligence platform. Your work will drive innovation in sales forecasting, deal probability prediction, and revenue projection - directly impacting our customers’ strategic decision-making. In this role, you will collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to transform complex data challenges into powerful AI-driven solutions, all within a fast-paced, cutting-edge environment.

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, You Will

• Design, develop, and deploy highly accurate and explainable machine learning models for sales forecasting, deal probability prediction, and revenue projection.
• Own the end-to-end model development lifecycle, from data collection and preprocessing to feature engineering, model training, evaluation, and deployment.
• Implement and optimize algorithms for handling large-scale datasets, ensuring real-time performance.
• Develop and maintain robust model monitoring and retraining processes to ensure ongoing accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to translate business needs into actionable AI solutions.
• Build and maintain analytics dashboards to visualize model performance and explain predictions.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning, deep learning, and forecasting.
• Contribute to the overall technical strategy and roadmap for Gong’s AI initiatives.
  
  

You Should Apply If You Have

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in developing and deploying machine learning models in a production
• Strong hands-on proficiency in Python and relevant machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, pandas, TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost).
• Deep understanding of statistical modeling and machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, deep learning).
• Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model selection.
• Proficiency in working with large datasets and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
• Experience with cloud computing platforms: AWS (preferred), GCP, or Azure and MLOps tools (advantage).
• Experience with data visualization
• Experience with explainable models techniques is a plus.
• Experience with time series analysis and forecasting techniques is a plus
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Passion for building high-quality, impactful products.
• Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce, etc.) and sales data - an advantage.
