AIR is developing a unique electric plane (eVTOL) for the private, logistics, and defense markets.

With over 1,000 pre-orders for our private aircraft and active fulfillment of defense and logistics orders, we are rapidly growing. Our team is expanding as we prepare to launch testing operations with the United States Air Force (USAF) and plan for mass production, working with top aerospace and automotive subcontractors worldwide.

About the job:

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Electrical Engineer to spearhead the cutting-edge design and development of our advanced aircraft’s electronic and power systems. 

This pivotal role will focus on both high-voltage (800V) and low-voltage systems, ensuring seamless integration, optimization, and strict compliance with industry-leading standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end design and architectural development of testing and validation of electric cards.
• Source, validate, and qualify components to meet and exceed stringent industry requirements.
• Provide expert support in the manufacturing, testing, and system-level integration of advanced electrical systems.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and subcontractors to guide the development testing the electric cards.
• Innovatively resolve complex technical challenges related to aircraft electronics and power systems.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer or Systems Engineer—mandatory.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering—mandatory.
• Proven experience in testing and integrating complex multi-system connections.
• Expertise in testing, verifying, and validating low and high-voltage electrical systems.
• Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with exceptional problem-solving skills and a self-motivated approach.
• In-depth knowledge of Lithium-ion battery pack design, Battery Management System (BMS) functionality, and safety solutions—an advantage.
• Proven experience in related industries such as automotive, military, or aerospace—an advantage.
• Fluency in English—essential.
• Willingness to travel as required.
